2012 NEW VENTURE COMPETITION TO FEATURE
SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FELLOWSHIP

The third annual Alumni New Venture Contest (NVC) is sponsored by HBS's Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship, the Social Enterprise Initiative, and Alumni Relations. With more than half of HBS alumni classifying themselves as entrepreneurs at some point in their lives, this contest is designed to support alumni in launching promising new businesses and social-impact ventures. The 2012 competition offers prizes of $50,000 and $25,000 and is open to all alumni worldwide.

THE COMPETITION FEATURES TWO TRACKS:    In the New Venture Contest, local contests are held by participating HBS Alumni Clubs in regions around the world. The winner from each local contest moves on to compete in the Alumni New Venture Contest Finals, held on the HBS campus on April 23 and 24, 2012. more information         NEW TRACK:   In the Social Entrepreneurship Fellowship competition, a committee of faculty and staff evaluates entries by HBS graduates who are launching social enterprises: nonprofit, for-profit, or hybrid organizations with a central focus on the creation of social value. The winner will be announced at the Alumni New Venture Contest Finals on April 23 and 24, 2012. more information
