Job Description
The CFO will lead all internal and external financial operations for the Gill Foundation. As a member of the senior executive team, the Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the President and CEO and has fiduciary responsibility to the Board of Directors. S/he is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of financial reporting, policies, procedures, and strategy; tax/regulatory compliance; and I.T. Management responsibilities include the accounting staff of five and I.T. staff of two. In addition, this position will provide accounting/financial/compliance/I.T. services to the Gill Action Fund on a "client basis" to ensure all objectives are being met for this 501(c)(4) organization.
- Advance the organization's strategic initiative.
- Participate in the development of programs, policies, procedures, staffing plans, and annual budget process.
- Oversee all financial strategy, reporting, operations, cash management, and payroll.
- Direct the treasury function including financial strategies, risk management, capital investments, and banking.
- Lead the strategic financial/business planning processes working with respective senior staffs and boards in support of the foundation's strategic goals.
- Support the implementation of the investment management of the Foundation’s assets (over $300MM).

Qualifications

- 7+ years diverse financial/leadership experience required in both private and publicly-supported foundation as well as a for-profit background. Experience must include financial expertise, systems knowledge, banking/investment.
- 5+ years of supervisory/mentorship experience (may be concurrent).
- Solid knowledge of non-profit and private foundation financial accounting.
- Effective communicator with proven track record of effective influence.
- Exceptional human relations skills and a proven record in the development of people.
- MBA or CPA preferred.
