Pro Bono Consulting Programs - Alumni Teams Assist Local Communities
|
A growing network of alumni-led consulting programs provides approximately $10 million worth of management
consulting services each year to nonprofit organizations in communities across the U.S and internationally.
Alumni teams consult to nonprofit organizations in a variety of sectors - including arts and culture, education, environment, healthcare, human services, and international development - to address key managerial issues that may focus on strategic planning, marketing, operations, or board governance.
The objective of these community partner programs is to facilitate a strong connection between HBS alumni and the
communities where they live and work. The programs which are supported by local HBS alumni clubs provide opportunities
for alumni to become involved with the local nonprofit community as well as meet other alumni who share a common interest in community service. In addition to consulting projects, many alumni subsequenty join nonprofit boards and in some cases choose to make a career move to the nonprofit sector.
In 2008, the HBS Community Partners programs were honored by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation for their commitment to providing volunteer business consulting services to nonprofits in various regions throughout the United States.
If you're interested in participating and/or have questions about the programs, please view your local program's website (see links below) and get in touch with the local contact.
